What all do we do in Health Sector?

Swasthya Sarthi (Mobile Medical Unit)

Our Mobile Medical Unit is operated by Medical officer, a nurse & a lab technician cum phlebotomist. It is equipped with various integrated, digital medical devices that allows Medical staff to conduct preliminary check up and proper diagnosis. It covers various healthcare services for Non-Communicable Disease, Communicable Disease, Maternal & Child Health, Pathology Testing, Oral Health, Ophthalmology, ENT- Ear Nose Throat, Dermatology etc.

Health Camps

Free multispeciality health camps are set up with a sacred aim to bring awareness amongst the deprived population of the country who have no access to basic healthcare services or knowledge about the diseases they are suffering from. So, medical camps provide free medical advice, medicine to the unfortunate people and refer for specialized treatment or surgery whenever it is required. These camps make sure people are getting the healthcare at the right time, and seeing the doctor early enough before a small health problem turns serious.

Ayushman Bharat Card Camp

Mithi Abyudaya organized Ayushman Bharat Yojana health Card and ABHA Card registration for free of cost with the help of CSC Centre in Sakri Block of Madhubani. Through the camp we could register a total of around 110 beneficiaries. PM-JAY provides free secondary health care for those needing specialist treatment and tertiary health care for those requiring hospitalization. The program is special, providing a cover of ₹5 lakh per family per year for medical treatment in empanelled hospitals, both public and private; offering cashless payment and paperless recordkeeping through the hospital.

Organ Donation Awareness

India is struggling with acute shortage of organs for transplantation. It is estimated that more than a million people suffer with end stage organ failure, but only a handful of 3,500 transplants are performed annually. At least 15 patients die every day waiting for organs and every 10 minutes a new name is added to this waiting list. We regularly organise Organ Donation Awareness Drive in different RWAs, Institutions, Societies, Companies etc. In our drive, we encourage participants to pledge Organ Donation.

ARSHita - a program focussing on Adolescence, Reproductive & Sexual Health

Through ARSHita, we reach out to girls and boys aged between 7 and 16 years to help them understand and manage adolescent changes in a healthy manner. The programme includes sessions for younger children, adolescent girls and boys separately and imparts scientific knowledge and perspective on reproductive health so that they are better equipped to manage the changes. They also learn how to recognise abuse and protect themselves from it. Boys are included as they must be made aware and play an important role in creating a conducive environment.

Swasthya Sewi

To help the patients and their relatives visiting the MMG Hospital, Ghaziabad to seek medical care, our volunteers are stationed in the hospital premises to facilitate the process of accessing treatment in the institution. This arrangement helps the illiterate and rural patients visiting the strange and complex set up of the hospital, thereby sparing them of further harassment, neglect, delay in reaching the right department and thus saving time, money and sometimes a life too.

Eye Check Up Camp

A recent survey shows that there is a poor recognition level of the early stages of different types of eye disease among some low-income populations in India. Of the 37 million people across the globe who are blind, over 15 million are from India. 85% of this blind population lives in rural areas where there is lack of health services, unawareness and poor sanitation. Through our Eye Checkup Camps, we provide underprivileged population with Clear Vision and ultimately  save their site.

Suposhan

Through our SUPOSHAN Scheme, our intervention focuses on Malnourishment Survey, through what we Survey with Paramedics in the local area to identify cases of Severe Acute Malnutrition, Chronic Malnutrition, Stunting, and At risk cases. The cases are stratified and through triage the cases are either referred to the nearby District Hospital or is treated through Nutritional Intervention. With a consultation of a Medical Doctor, the rescue is planned through Nutritional supplementation, Vitamin A Supplementation with Multivitamin Capsules, Community Deworming, Maternal Nutrition and Community Sensitization at the village level.

HIV/AIDS Awareness and Counselling Sessions for Truck Drivers

We take an initiative for spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS and getting the drivers tested for HIV at the Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre (ICTC). Candle light Memorial Day and World AIDS Days are observed through the project. Rally, nukkad natak, quiz competition etc. are also organized in World AIDS Days. The Objective is adoption of safer sexual behaviour and practices by the truckers through dialogue-based peer-led Interpersonal Communication (IPC) and Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) strategy.

Blood Donation Camp

Blood donation is harmless and safe in the body. Rather, it is a social responsibility. The donor is donating for it as it will be used in saving lives of his fellow beings. He himself may use the same during his own need. MILLIONS OF people owe their lives to people whom they will never know or meet in their lifetime. They are none other than those people, who have donated their blood freely and without any reward – voluntary blood donors. We need to extend a hearty appreciation to these unsung heroes who give the precious gift of life to mankind.

Swasthya Sahayata

The Foundation provides medical assistance for major diseases like neurological problems, heart and kidney problems, stroke and paralysis, cancer, HIV/AIDS etc. to the people from the disadvantaged and economically weak sections of the society. Financial help is extended to patients for the treatment requiring surgery, dialysis, and hospitalisation. The Foundation has tied up with a chemist in Ghaziabad to provide medicines to the patients who are suffering from various critical diseases.

Nasha-mukti Abhiyaan

Mithi Abhyudaya Foundation strongly believes that unless the privileged society is involved proactively in the process of development, sustainable change will not happen. Following this model of Civic Driven Change, we sensitise and engage the civil society, making it an active partner in all our welfare initiatives. Dangerous addictions, loneliness, insecurity, violence and aggression have become the common traits of a Youth. Hence, it has become very important to channel the energy and enthusiasm of youth into a positive direction, by imbibing a conscious perspective and constructive value system in them.
